Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures. Restrain animals safely and compassionately during exams and treatments. Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, exam rooms, and equipment. Feed, bathe, exercise, and care for animals under supervision. Monitor the condition of animals and report any changes to the veterinarian. Prepare surgical equipment and assist with post-operative care. Administer medications or treatments under the direction of a veterinarian. Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories. Communicate with pet owners in a friendly and informative manner. Assist with front-desk duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and checking patients in/out. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Prior experience in animal care or veterinary settings preferred. Passion for working with animals and a commitment to their well-being. Ability to handle and restrain animals safely. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic computer and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
