Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary :
Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment at a novice level (assessed by unit). Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures at a novice level (assessed by unit).

R esponsibilities :

  • Under direct supervision of an eye care provider, assists with performing patient care and patient flow.
  • Under direct supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic imaging and testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.
  • Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.
  • Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certified
    Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
  • High School diploma or GED.
    Required Licensure/Certification: Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification. Completion of the Ophthalmic Assistant Home Study Course within 1 year of hire (tracked by unit) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification.
    Minimum Experience: 2 years of related healthcare experience.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
