The Instructional Coach plays a key leadership role in advancing academic excellence across the academy. This position is designed for an educator who is confident in driving measurable academic growth and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality instruction that meets the needs of all learners, including multilingual students.

The Instructional Coach partners closely with teachers and school leadership to strengthen instructional practices through job-embedded coaching, professional learning, modeling of effective strategies, and collaborative planning. The coach supports the implementation of rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and helps educators use both formative and summative data to inform instruction, identify gaps in learning, and accelerate student achievement.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of effective instructional practices, experience supporting multilingual learners, and the ability to build teacher capacity through coaching that is collaborative, reflective, and results-driven. The Instructional Coach must be committed to cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, where teachers are empowered to refine their practice and students are supported in reaching their full academic potential.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Masters degree in education or a related academic field
• The individual meets the requirements of MCL 380.1246(3) or has a work plan in place to receive administration certification
• A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience with K-8 students.
• Bilingual/ESL endorsement
• Evidence of increasing student academic achievement
• Demonstrated management/leadership skills
• Fluency in Spanish, highly desirable
• Submit to a criminal background check and be found without a record.
