Provo City accepts lateral transfer applications from current firefighter/paramedics in other agencies at any time. Provo Fire & Rescue enjoys a cohesive and positive work environment with a strong desire to help each other succeed. The department has a state-of-the-art Heavy Rescue, two ladder trucks, two fire engines, five medic ambulances and three new type 6 brush trucks. The department also shows its commitment to fire-and-life-safety training by hosting monthly live fire, extrication, and EMS training. As the Provo City Airport has continued to expand commercial business, we have also expanded our airport firefighter operations. The selection process includes a physical test (CPAT) and a Command Staff interview. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening.
