Subject Areas FL - Computer Science and Business TN - CTE, Business, Health Science, Engineering, Criminal Justice CO - CTE TX - CTE and Healthcare/Health Sciences MN - World Language Position Overview As a Virtual Teacher you will provide exceptional academic support through our student support model, which includes student‑centered monitoring, coaching, mentoring, and teaching. You will assist students academically with concept comprehension synchronously and/or asynchronously via live chat, phone, email, and virtual conferencing technology, grade assignments, and communicate with parents, school administration, and clients to ensure student success. Responsibilities Provide academic guidance and support for students enrolled in online courses. Orient students to coursework, clearly communicate virtual course participation requirements, and enforce academic integrity guidelines. Augment course content by choosing and implementing appropriate remediation, modification, and enrichment strategies. Prepare for and facilitate synchronous instructional sessions delivered in an online learning platform. Conduct one‑to‑one tutoring sessions through web conferencing and virtual whiteboard technologies. Implement accommodations and modifications as required by individual education plans. Complete required department onboarding training. Contribute professional expertise to curriculum support and professional learning communities. Communicate with parents, school administrators, and associated partnering clients as needed. Maintain active educator licenses, clearances, and required credentials. Respond to instructional leadership in a timely manner. Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications You must have access to a computer, high‑speed internet, and a phone connection. Teacher certification is a firm requirement. At least 3 years of teaching experience. Willingness and ability to obtain additional certifications upon request. Willingness and ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card within the first two weeks of employment. Technically proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new technology and online systems quickly. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage and influence a positive outcome. Self‑motivated, conscientious, and internally driven to achieve excellence. Detail‑oriented, with excellent organization and documentation skills. Student‑focused, with the ability to empower learning across a diverse population. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects. Schedule Work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, with the opportunity to work year‑round. Compensation Base pay is anticipated to be between $20.50 and $22.00 per hour, or $44,948 to $45,760 annually. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance.
