We are looking for: Technical Writer

About the Role:

Eagle Wireless is building a documentation department from the ground up, and we are looking for a detail-oriented, systems-minded person to grow with us. Recent graduates are welcome to apply. We care more about mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn than years on a resume. This is not a role where you inherit a finished system and simply maintain it. You will help shape how we create, organize, and deliver documentation to engineers and customers working with our cellular modules. You will work closely with our senior technical writer, engineering teams, and product managers to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured content. MadCap Flare is our target authoring platform, and you'll grow into owning its architecture alongside the Penang team. We are a team-oriented culture; most of your time will be spent in the office collaborating with engineers and teammates face to face, with flexibility to accommodate the unpredictability of daily life. Eagle Wireless believes AI is a productivity multiplier, not a replacement for thoughtful human judgment. You will be expected to use AI tools alongside our content workflows, but the structure, logic, and quality come from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation including software guides, application notes, hardware manuals, quick-start guides, datasheets, and release notes for cellular module products.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to extract technical information and translate it into clear, audience-appropriate content.
• Contribute to the development of documentation processes, style guides, and structured content systems as the department is built out using MadCap Flare.
• Apply single-sourcing principles to create reusable content that can be published across multiple outputs efficiently and consistently.
• Use AI tools as part of your daily workflow to accelerate content development and improve output quality.
• Help ensure documentation stays accurate and up to date as products evolve in a fast-growing environment.
• Work closely with our technical writing team in Penang, Malaysia to align our documentation strategy and architecture. This is a core function of the role; strong communication skills are essential.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong logical and analytical thinking, with the ability to break down complex information into clear, structured, easy-to-follow content.
• Exceptional attention to detail: you notice inconsistencies, catch errors, and care about getting things right.
• Genuine interest in content management, information architecture, and using technology to make documentation more efficient and useful.
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where processes are still being built.
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and learn from engineers and subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with or strong interest in MadCap Flare or similar structured/topic-based authoring tools.
• Familiarity with single-sourcing concepts: writing content once and publishing it across multiple formats, audiences, or outputs.
• Exposure to version control concepts such as Git, or comfort with basic markup or command-line tools.
• Background in a field that demands precision and systematic thinking, such as technical writing, engineering, or business analytics.
• Interest in hardware, IoT, embedded systems, or wireless/cellular technology.
