Position Title Senior MicroStrategy Developer
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.
Key Required Skills: MicroStrategy platform, data/object architecting, data modeling, data warehousing, relational databases, ETL, complex SQL. Position Description: • Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions and actionable insights.
• Design, develop and implement robust interactive dashboards and reports using the MicroStrategy platform and data from a variety of sources.
• Develop ETL scripts and complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data required to build dashboards and reports.
• Solve complex technical challenges related to data integration, performance optimization, and BI solution development.
• Contribute to BI strategy, governance, and documentation efforts.
• Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience.

Skills Requirements: FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications) • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
• 10+ years of demonstrated BI solution design and development using various BI platforms (MicroStrategy preferred).
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in data/object architecting, data modeling, and writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills) These skills will help you succeed in this position: • Strong experience designing and developing interactive dashboards and advanced reports using MicroStrategy Developer and/or MicroStrategy Workstation
• Experience with KPIs, metrics, and creating actionable insights for end users.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with data modeling and schema object creation (e.g., attributes, facts, hierarchies, transformations)
• Experience connecting to varied data sources, including but not limited to, PostgresSQL, Oracle, DB2, Greenplum, SQL Server, and other enterprise-level data sources.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban Agile development process and ceremonies (scrums, backlog grooming, retrospectives, demonstrations).
• bility to lead and present complex technical concepts in front of a wide audience composed of users, business leaders, and technical experts.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills) Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills: • Prior SSA or Federal government experience.
• Experience with cloud-based BI deployments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
• Experience with other BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, WebFOCUS, Power BI).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and understanding of Agile terminology and processes.
• Experience working in a DevOps environment.
Education: • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience
