We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Power BI development , solid experience with GitHub-based code migrations , and exposure to Change Management and Incident Management processes . The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile project delivery environment .

Key Responsibilities


Power BI Development

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Develop complex DAX measures , calculated columns, and KPIs
• Perform data modeling using star/snowflake schemas
• Optimize report performance and ensure scalability
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance practices
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, APIs, cloud platforms, etc.)

GitHub & Code Migration

• Manage Power BI artifacts (PBIX, datasets, scripts) through GitHub repositories
• Perform version control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews
• Support CI/CD pipelines for report deployment
• Handle migrations across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod)
• Maintain proper documentation and repository standards

Change & Incident Management

• Participate in Change Management processes (CAB approvals, release documentation, impact analysis)
• Handle production deployments and rollback strategies
• Manage and resolve incidents within defined SLAs
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
• Coordinate with support teams for issue resolution

Agile Delivery

• Work in Agile/Scrum framework
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Business Stakeholders
• Deliver incremental releases aligned with sprint goals
• Provide effort estimations and meet sprint commitments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-9 years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI (minimum 2-3+ years practical development experience)
• Advanced knowledge of:
• DAX
• Power Query (M language)
• Data modeling concepts
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with GitHub (branching strategy, code merges, conflict resolution)
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts for BI deployments
• Experience in Incident Management & Change Management frameworks (ITIL preferred)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP ( BigQuery, Cloud composer, Pub/sub model )
• Knowledge of Power BI deployment pipelines
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Github actions, jenkins.)
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards
