Salary Information: $102K - 208K
Compensation and labor categories are defined in accordance with program requirements and government guidelines. Salary within the posted range is determined based on an individual's experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications, and may be further adjusted based on benefit selections.



Job Description:
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team. In this position, test engineers perform component, integration, and system level testing by writing and executing systemlevel test procedures, evaluating changes made to software applications, and verifying defect corrective actions discovered during development, testing, and/or operational use. You will join the existing Manual Test team in support of a fastpaced, dynamic software development program.


The Manual Test team is part of a test organization that includes teams that automate regression tests and maintain the testing framework and infrastructure. You will utilize basic system administration skills and will work with physical equipment in a test lab environment.


As a member of this team, you will perform system testing of components (modules), and integration testing through system and endtoend evaluation. You will develop and implement test procedures and test reports and will support the software configuration management process. You must understand all software components and their interface requirements. Tasking will include developing test data; defining test acceptance criteria; providing system testing expertise for test procedure documentation; reviewing of test plans; developing test methodologies, and/or performing subsystem interface and software module testing. You will assist the Software Development team and be responsible for working collaboratively with the following groups: Software Development, System Engineering, Integration, Deployment, and Sustainment.



Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of prior relevant testing experience.
  • Must have experience testing through a full system development life cycle, including implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes.
  • Must have experience participating in formal test events (Acceptance Test, User Acceptance Test, Software Final Release Test, Maintenance Release Test, etc.).
  • Must have experience collaborating with software developers to create formal test procedures.
  • Must have experience working with physical equipment in a test lab environment.
  • Must have experience collecting, analyzing, presenting test results verbally and reporting test results in writing.
  • Must have experience utilizing elevated privileges to setup and execute manual test procedures.
  • Must have experience documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting, and audits.
  • Must have experience testing systems from existing system and functional specification
  • Must have experience working in an agile team environment.
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to successfully communicate with both management and technical personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience using automated test tools.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (i.e., Java, shell, Python, etc).
  • SAFe Agilist or DevOps .

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
