Early Morning Janitor

Join one of the valley's busiest restaurants at Las Casuelas Nuevas. We are looking for an early morning maintenance from 4:30am - 12:00, 5 to 6 days a week as part of a 4 person team. Overtime and benefits are available for this position. Key Responsibilities:

• Routine maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment.
• Repairs: Address and resolve issues with kitchen appliances, electrical wiring, lighting, plumbing, and other systems promptly.
• Emergency response: Respond to maintenance-related emergencies during hours of operation to ensure minimal disruption to business.
• Cleaning and upkeep: Maintain cleanliness of mechanical areas, utility rooms, and equipment, ensuring that workspaces are free from hazards.
• Safety compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety standards; report any risks to management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant management to identify maintenance needs, prioritize repairs, and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in a maintenance role
• Skills: Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair; basic carpentry and painting skills are a plus.
• Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose issues accurately and resolve them efficiently.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, or late evenings as needed.

Responsibilities of a Cleaner/Janitor:

• Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
• Gathering and emptying indoor trash
• Clean, service and resupply restrooms
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Engaging in building security and safety activities (checking and locking doors, checking electrical appliance)
• Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities
• Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Requiring supplies of the tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Organizing and executing spraying of fumigant and insecticides

Work schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
• Monday to Friday
• Day shift
