As a Legal Records Data Entry Operator , you play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in maintaining organized, accurate, and accessible legal documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
Accurately entering case files, legal documents, court records, and client data into secure law firm databases or document management systems.
Ensuring precision by verifying data against original documents—such as pleadings, motions, exhibits, correspondence, and filing logs—to maintain data integrity.
Classifying and tagging records with correct metadata (e.g., case numbers, dates, parties, document types) for seamless retrieval and audit readiness.
Managing updates to legal records, including case status changes, new filings, or amended documents, and ensuring historical versions are properly archived.
Generating reports on filing status, document processing, or record discrepancies to support legal teams and firm administration.
Assisting with periodic archiving, purging of outdated files, and cleanup of digital or physical storage systems following retention guidelines.
Collaborating with paralegals, attorneys, and administrative staff to resolve record inconsistencies or identify missing documentation.
Upholding strict confidentiality and data security protocols throughout all data-entry operations.
