Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide specialized, high-quality nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in a dynamic operating room environment. Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and fellow nurses, you will assist with complex cardiovascular procedures, manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, and ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards. Responsibilities include accurately assessing patients, developing and implementing evidence-based care plans, administering medications and treatments, operating and monitoring advanced surgical and hemodynamic equipment, and documenting all aspects of care in the electronic medical record. You will actively participate in time-outs, instrument and sponge counts, and emergency response situations, while supporting patients and families with clear communication and compassionate education.
