Job Description
Well established commercial electrical contractor looking for a full time Electrical Assistant Project Manager to join our Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full time administrative support for our Electrical construction Project Managers at our Mt. Airy office location. We are looking for an ambitious individual who desires to move up into a Project Management position within the company. Applicants should be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, and are trainable.
Assistant Project Manager responsibilities and duties to include:
Work with the Project Managers to prepare estimates which entails obtaining misc. quotes from multiple suppliers and service providers.
Prepare written estimates/proposals for clients based on labor, materials, equipment, drawing details, and other expenses.
Communicate and follow up with clients about specific projects and their goals.
Generate invoices for clients based on services rendered and in coordination with the Project Manager.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need.
Communicate with site superintendents about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients.
Create digital equipment submittals/documents, O&M manuals and as-built drawings for customers.
Scan and archive digital blueprints and schematics for future access.
Assistant Project Manager requirements:
High school diploma required
Two-to-four-year degree preferred
Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required
Excellent communication, accounting, and organizational skills
Proficient with all of the Microsoft Office products and PDF software
Project management software experience is a plus
Experience in the construction industry a plus
Must pass background check and drug test
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
